The episode, word for word

You ever try everything, site change, correction, a prayer or two, and your blood sugar's still climbing like it's chasing a high score?

Sometimes, it's not you. It's the tech.

And sometimes, the best thing you can do for your blood sugar, and your mood, is call it early.

This is Your Best T1D Year.

We've all done it. You're on day 9 of your CGM or pushing one more meal with your pump site because you don't want to waste it. Or the backup supplies are juuust out of reach. I get it.

But you know what costs more than an early sensor swap? A full-on rage spiral because your tech is gaslighting you.

And it's not always dramatic. Sometimes it's just... off. You're stuck at 240 with zero explanation. Or your CGM says you're 67 and shaking, but you're actually fine, because your sensor's playing "low alert roulette."

So here's the deal: early swaps aren't failures. They're self-respect.

Let's talk signs your stuff's ready for retirement:

Your CGM might need to go if...

The numbers are bouncing like a toddler on a trampoline

It's been squished in your sleep and now says you're low when you're not

It's peeling, itchy, or throwing errors

You haven't had water since breakfast yesterday and it's freaking out

(Yes, dehydration can mess with your sensor!)

Your pump site needs a break if...

It stings when you bolus

You see blood in the tubing or around the site

You're stacking corrections and nothing's moving

And listen, even if the site looks fine, it might be hiding behind a "fake it till you make it" attitude while delivering basically no insulin.

Here's your No Shame Gameplan:

If your BG feels off, check with a meter, trust your gut.

If it's a pump issue, swap the site before you hit the wall.

For CGMs, if it's been glitchy all day, don't wait to "get your money's worth." Your sanity is worth it too.

Have backups ready: pens, syringes, snacks, a solid playlist if you need a tech timeout.

You're not fragile for changing your gear early. You're fierce. You're prioritizing clarity over chaos.

This week: trust your gut. If something feels off, don't second-guess. Swap it. Then tell me what tipped you off.

Did your CGM keep screaming "LOW" while you were power-walking through Target? Did your pump ghost you mid-bolus?

DM me your "yeah I called it" moment. Let's normalize not waiting for tech to totally tank before we act.

When your CGM's throwing shade or your site's more drama than data, Blue Circle Health helps you figure it out. For free. No insurance games, just real people who help you feel in control again.
